The bottom line is at Classic Chopper Inc, we are in the business of making your life's dream come true when you are looking for a real Captain America and Billy's Bike!! Why are we saying that? Because we had that same dream of yours, 3 years ago.

Our research and development started in January 2002 and never stopped! We spent 3 years searching for all Captain America and Billy's Bike replicas publicly available and any publication related to the subject, both new and old. Then we dissected the movie Easy Rider frame by frame, using 250 printed frames in all, to capture the most intricate of details. Our attention to the most obscure features such as the type of frame, motor, fender, front-end extension, headlight, electrical wiring material, color, the type of connector, seat buttons, headlamp has all but brought this icon back to life! These and literally thousands of other components were made to the original specifications and anything we couldn’t find, we fabricated.

This venture has been based on a childhood dream of riding the most famous motorcycle that ever existed. The bad news is, it wasn't easy. We spent two and half of R&D to make sure that we built the World's Most Authentic Captain America ever but the good news is, we did the hard work for you!! NO guessing games, NO mismatched parts, NO leftover parts to scrap or sell, NO building nightmare, NO need to buy a cheap reproduction!! If you want a first class Captain America and Billy's Bike, their is only one place to call.

Because we know that there is nothing more important in life than accomplishing your dream, we are there to help. We removed all the potential difficulties and put the best reproduction that will suit your needs and budget.

Our authentic reproduction of the Captain America is the worlds finest.  No other surpasses nor matches the quality of our reproduction.  Once thought to be the authority, the Guggenheim Museums replica has been dethroned as the best in world based on our research and attention to detail!

You may think that we are pushing the limit of perfectionism. YES, WE ARE! We just want to make sure that your authentic reproduction is the World's Best. We Guarantee it! Make no mistake, these are not your typicalreproductions! These are the World's Best .

  EASY RIDER - THE STORY

Easy Rider is about two motorcyclists, Wyatt (Peter Fonda) and Billy (Dennis Hopper), who embark on a coast-to-coast odyssey in search of real America. They encounter along the way the many faces of its big cities and small towns, a hippie commune, drugs, and sex in a New Orleans bawdy house. Directed by Dennis Hopper at the age of 31 and costing a mere $340,000, the film went on to gross millions and it changed the pop culture landscape. This often-imitated but never-duplicated movie defined a generation and has a great soundtrack (featuring The Byrds, The Band, Steppenwolf, Jimi Hendrix, The Electric Prunes, and more). Record producer Phil Spector is featured in the film, and the late novelist Terry Southern ("The Magic Christian") collaborated with Hopper and Fonda to write the script. Academy Award Nominations included Best Supporting Actor for Jack Nicholson, and Best (Original) Story and Screenplay.

The original "Captain America" was one of four panheads purchased by Peter Fonda from an L.A. police department auction, and was customized by Fonda, customizer Tex Hall, and actor Dan Haggerty who also had a brief appearance in Easy Rider but is best known for his role in the TV series "Grizzly Adams." The three did all the chopping, welding, fabricating and painting to produce four bikes for the movie. They made two "Billy Bikes" named for and ridden by the character played by Dennis Hopper and two of the more radically chopped "Captain America" machines ridden by Fonda. Two of each were built in order to switch back and forth due to the rigors of filming.

The "Captain America" is a 1952 Panhead that boasts 55 horsepower at 4800 RPM. It's on a rigid wishbone frame that's slightly laid back, with its front forks extended 12 inches. When Fonda was asked about his use of the Stars and Stripes on the bike, he said," I got the idea for the flag on the back of my jacket from John Wayne, referring to the movie American Tiger. I wore that jacket around the streets of LA every night on my bike. And I got stopped by the police every night for defaming the American flag. A year after Easy Rider was released there was a flag on every police jacket, their cars, and their equipment. The bikes held together quite well during the production except for the one "Captain America" that was trashed in the last scene of the movie. The machines seemed poised to become the property of the actors and producers until thieves broke into a storage garage and took them all except the one trashed "Captain America." Since the movie had not yet been released, the bikes, in fact, meant little to the thieves as they were nothing more than customized Harley Panheads. They left the damaged "Captain America" behind. After the movie was released, Fonda gave the bike to Dan Haggerty who put it back together. From his Woodland Hills home, Haggerty said he rebuilt the bike as a memento to his work on the film.
